San José City Council unanimously approves Google's Downtown West project

Thanks to ongoing support, feedback, and involvement from San José community leaders and members, the Downtown West mixed-use plan passed one of the last milestones in the City of San José’s approval process.  On May 25, 2021, the San José City Council’s unanimous approval of the Downtown West affirms the early decision to embrace a collective journey of listening and co-creation. This builds on many years of the City, community members, and Google envisioning how to create a vibrant, dynamic place in the Diridon Station Area.
