Framework Preview at Station Area Advisory Group

We shared our preliminary mixed-use framework at a Station Area Advisory Group (SAAG) meeting at San José City Hall on August 22. The framework includes approximately 6.5 million square feet of office space, 3,000-5,000 residential units, up to 500,000 square feet of retail, cultural, arts, education and hotel uses, and approximately 15 acres of parks and green space.

Google’s real estate development director Alexa Arena and SITELAB Urban Studio principal Laura Crescimano presented to the SAAG, emphasizing the importance of community feedback in developing six objectives that will help guide the project: creating jobs near transit; building housing alongside jobs; creating opportunity pathways; building a place that is of San José; connecting to nature and transit; and working better together.
